During warmer months of the year, you can start a horse adventure from Galena Stage Stop Corrals in Ketchum. The steady gait of a horse will give you plenty of time to take in the towering pines and historic mining trails of the Smoky Mountains on a trail ride. All-day rides differ depending on the group’s request, but common stops include the historic twin cabins and a silver mine from the 1800s.

If horse riding isn’t appealing but you still want a similar experience, then a wagon ride might be perfect for you and your family. Hop on a horse-drawn wagon and take in the traditional mining roads of the Pioneer Mountains. Take it to the next level with a Cowboy Cookout at the end of your wagon ride.
