The Picket Fence
Sun Valley, Idaho
Overview
The Picket Fence excels at the art of “nesting.” This red-barn-looking structure was opened in 1978 when its owner realized there wasn’t a store in the area that sold bedding. You may not feel like you’re in a store though. It’s incredibly homey inside, and it’s carefully designed products can seem more like artwork that items for sale. The itinerary is diverse, so you can arrive in search of an item or simply browse around. The down comforters are luxurious, the china is tasteful and the kids’ corner is playful. The bath area is extensive too!
