Lamb Rogan Josh is lamb chunks cooked with yogurt, onion, tomato and mild spices. Clay Oven Fish Curry is sautéed with mustard seeds, curry leaves, coconut and tomato sauce, while Chicken Karahi is sautéed with onion, bell peppers, tomatoes and special spices. Some dishes are adventurous such as Baingan Bharta, which is a smoked eggplant puree with green peas and ginger. Others are hard to dislike such as Cheese Naan, a bread-stuffed cheese. Almost all are served with rice.
Enjoy your selection with an Indian-prepared tea with cardamom, ginger and milk boiled with tea leaves. Finish the afternoon or evening with rice pudding, cottage cheese dumplings or mango-flavored Indian ice cream.
