The New Jersey Korean War Memorial on the Atlantic City Boardwalk features the names of the 822 New Jerseyans who were killed or are missing in action. Its sculptors’ hope was that future generations would remember what the war cost Americans and the freedoms it secured. It was an important victory for citizens of South Korea, and now a mix of concrete and metal preserve its honor.
